House Sharon is a stunning example of contemporary minimalist design that achieves a luxury finish without pricing itself out of the market it sits within. Located on the border of Hunter Hills/Mozley Park, an inner city suburb in Atlanta, the home offers a sense of calm and tranquility that is rare in such a bustling metropolis.

Originally, the house was a 3 bed 1 bath with a self-contained living, kitchen, and dining room. However, after a complete remodel, it now boasts a bright, open-plan living space with ample natural light flooding through the rear wall of the property, which features a 12-foot three-panel sliding door with floor-to-ceiling picture windows on either side.

One of the most striking design elements of House Sharon is the attention to detail and functionality that has been woven throughout the space. Every inch of the home has been thoughtfully considered to ensure it serves the needs and desires of its intended inhabitants. From the recessed shelving and window seat in the rear of the property to the multi-level floor in the kitchen and dining area, the space flows effortlessly, providing freedom and flexibility to those who call it home.

The exposed ceiling joists add much-needed character to the remodeled home, while also adding an extra foot to the ceiling height, making the space feel bigger and brighter. The front of the house also features a large casement window that showcases the pergola-style porch roof and multi-level deck, creating a visual connection to the outdoor space and bringing the outside in.

Other design highlights include the frameless doors and concealed hinges that lay flush within the door unit, providing major aesthetic value at minimal cost relative to the entire build. The house follows a very monochromatic palette with a clean line finish to allow the inhabitant to add texture and personality to the space with minimal noise from the architectural design.

House Sharon is truly an oasis on the foot of the city. It offers a space that allows for moments of contemplation, where inhabitants can relax and enjoy not only the ambience that the location naturally affords but also the design details weaved throughout. The home is a stunning example of how a complete remodel can breathe new life into an unremarkable property and transform it into a luxurious and functional space that is perfect for modern living.
